Good education only for the rich?!

A new survey shows that 43% of the children at the highest achieving secondary schools are from the wealthiest 20% of families in the UK. This shows that children from middle class families have lower chances of receiving the best education. However, 90% of parents believe it is very important for their child to attend a high quality secondary school. Furthermore, in state schools 17% of students are eligible for free school meals, compared to only 9% in the top 500 UK schools. Teach First, the charity that did the survey, highlights that the gap between rich and poor children must shrink and we all must fight more equality especially when it comes to education.
