8 in 10 transgender pupils have tried home themselves. This is the shocking statistics recently released on the wellbeing of transgender pupils. Although bullying against LGBT students has decreased in recent years, the impact on students’ well-being is still huge. Even more shocking is the fact that more than half of transgender students has attempted suicide as a result of how their class mates have treated them. One in every 10 LGBT student has been threatened by peers. These statistics show that although there are signs of improvement, there is still much hard work to be done until all students are finally accepted the way they are.
