The Walworth County Literacy Council’s jail has introduced a tutor system in 2008, allowing the inmates to work towards passing their GED. Somewhat surprisingly, the tutors sent in report back that it is easier to teach these inmates than teaching students in secondary form, because the prisoners are eager to learn and enlarge their knowledge.
