After a water leak the floor in Wanstead library desperately needs replacement. This will leave many kids unable to borrow books while the repairs are made. The library is especially important to younger children because of its outstanding children’s area. Regularly the library organizes singing and dancing games for the youngest at the library. While it is unclear when the repairs will take place, the council stresses that there will also be general refurbishment. New furniture, new decorations and even new books will be bought to improve the library. Libraries play a particularly important role for many families in East London and are seen as a comfortable environment for many afternoons to enjoy.
