New report on Scottish schools

A major report covering data from the last 4 years has revealed strengths as well as weaknesses of the Scottish education system. While Bill Maxwell, Scotland’s chief education inspector highlights that much good has already been accomplished, he is determined to improve the system even more. Areas for improvement include exploiting the whole flexibility of the system as well as monitoring progress more thoroughly. The Scottish system has changed completely in the past four years and has gone through some major reforms. Overall, Mister Maxwell is satisfied with staff commitment and their adaption to the new system. In order to help these teachers to stay motivated, he urges officials to show support and help them with questions as quickly as possible.
