While most of the time, when taking about education in India the media reports the downfall of education for poor children, these days India has been in the news for its outstanding success in the worldwide university ranking. With 33 Indian university in the Top 300 global universities list, India has truly shown that its education system is heading in the right direction. While India was experiencing hardship since its independence in 1947, in the past 10 years it is overtaking one Eastern country after another. India’s economy is growing by 7% yearly and expected to have the second largest population by the end of 2020. In addition to this economic upswing they have also invested in education and hence the results paid off in the lately released ranking.
