Free art lessons for socio-economically disadvantaged

To honour his recently deceased mother, an artist, Barry Whitehouse, has decided to give multiple 6-months art programs to disadvantaged young adults. Applications for the first round will open on 2nd of March and people between the age of 18 and 25 are eligible to apply. The workshops will be held in the artist’s shop in Banbury. Barry Whitehouse highlights that he wants to honor his mother’s memory by giving to other children what she gave to him; when he was 14 years old, he decided that he wanted to be a painter. His parents supported him in any way possible and had to cut back on their own expenses to make trips to exhibitions possible for their son. Barry wants to express his gratitude to his parents by giving the same chances to young artists who would otherwise not get the teaching they require to develop optimally.
