Education does not matter?!

According to a recently published study, only 1% of the 970 participants rated education as being the most important issue in Britain. The most common answer, with 49% agreeing, on the other hand, was NHS. This was followed by Housing, Economy and Unemployment. The results are surprising considering that lately there has been a lot of disagreement on the changes in the education system. In the Labour party’s poll, education was the most important issue for 17% of the people. However, while nowadays we often highlight the importance for education as a key game changer for developing countries, it seems odd that we do not take it as seriously in our home. Good quality education impacts all other issues named and should play a more important role in Britain.
