Further cuts on education budget

Philip Hammonds demands that further 3.5 billion pounds are saved in this years budget. Cuts would be expected to affect the education budget for 16-19 year old as well as police education. However, as promised in 2015, the core education budget is secure. The announcement of additional cuts was necessary, since the chancellor will otherwise be unable to meet his own funding goals. Nevertheless, we are shocked that whenever there is a need for saving the primary affected field always seems to be education. In many studies it has been shown that education is the key for progress in society, not only in developing countries, but also in the UK. These well-known scientific results do not seem to be considered when the budget is made.
