The Jewish community in Redbridge has recently opened an exhibition to shed light on the development of this religious group in the area. The enthusiastic group shows how many Jews moved from Hackney to Redbridge in the 1960’s seeking a better life. Since then Jewish traditions have shaped Redbridge community and made an impact on the diversity in the area. For the exhibition, many elderly people were interviewed telling stories about weddings and bar mitzvahs. This exhibition is the first of its kind showing the life of Jews colorfully in the Redbridge area.
