After Ofsted inspectors have found books that romanticize domestic violence in an Islamic school they wrote a negative review of the school. In Ofsted’s opinion the school was promoting segregation of girls and boys leading to unlawful discrimination. However, the school fought back and appealed to the court of justice to get the review overruled. Conclusively, their appeal passed and Ofsted had to take their erroneous statement back and rewrite it. However, the damage done to the school’s reputation is unfixable.
At Thy English Academy we are shocked that such a well-known institution like Ofsted releases devastating results without investigating further into the matter and thinking about what this might mean for the school.
