Traditionally the first working day in January was nicknamed “divorce day” because most divorces are decided upon after the holidays. While everyone pretended to be a happy family during the festive season, really life has come up to speed and made life more real again. However, especially children suffer the most when their parents get divorced. Even if everyone agrees, it is not easy for a child to see their parents split up. This can often have bad consequences on the child’s education. Therefore, schools and tuition companies need to be alert to recognize changes in the child’s behavior to live up to the Safeguarding responsibilities and intervene when necessary. For Thy English Academy it is particularly important that we know every student very well to detect unusual behavior. After all the most important factor is the wellbeing of the child.
