While everyone knows the famous Monet lilly pond, almost no one knows about the paintings by Wynford Dewhurst. The impressionist artist, living at the beginning of the 19th century, was obsessed with Monet’s paintings but he was also an outstanding artist himself. However, he never received the same fame Monet got and this is about to change in Manchester. A new exhibition at Manchester Art Gallery aims to make Dewhurst more popular and tries to engage the audience with his life.
At Thy English Academy we support local artists by offering them a way to share their love for art with children. All our artists are fairly little known but have a great passion for working with children as well as spreading a creative message.
